Winning Logo

Wow! I got an overwhelming response to my post yesterday! Thank you so much to everyone who voted and had good suggestions for me. Between my blog comments and my comments on Facebook I had 46 votes! Number 6 got the most votes with 26, the second place logo wasn't even close (number 3 with 6 votes) I had a lot of suggestions of how to tweak the logo to make it better and I am using those suggestions to try some different ideas. I hope to be able to have another post soon and I would appreciate it if you all could vote again! Honestly, I was surprised with the results yesterday, and did get my feelings hurt by one anonymous commenter that doesn't know the definition of "constructive criticism" which is probably why they commented anonymously. I need to get some thicker skin I guess! LOL To that person, obviously, I'm not a graphic designer but I did the best I could, that's my excuse! If you are interested to know 3 and 4 were my favorites, boy was I outvoted!! I know that ultimately it's my decision but I am glad to have the input from everyone! Stay tuned for some more logo options in the next few days!

It's logo time, help me choose!

I sat down and worked hard on my logo yesterday and I have several options. I need you all to help me to, a. give some constructive criticism (is there something I should do differently?) and b. choose your favorite.

365 Self Portraits - try again

Last August I declared that I would be taking a picture of my self every day for a year...that lasted about a month. This year I have joined a group on Flickr.com that is filled with people working towards that same goal. If you want to see my picture everyday look on my photostream here. I only have 2 pictures on there so far. I'm hoping that this project gets my creative juices flowing and helps me to improve my photography this year. I'm also hoping it will be a lot of fun.

Today is day 3 and I'm racking my brain trying to figure out something super cool to do. Any suggestions?

Pics at Mickey D's

On Friday Henry and I met Grandma, Aunt Bubba, Leilani and Lindy at McDonalds for lunch and playing on the playground. They had a blast and Henry cried when we left. He kept saying "I just want to stay here!" I took some pics of the kids playing. Click here to see some of them.

Bedtime and Bruises

Henry ran into the wall at church today and got a nasty bruise on his nose, yes, I said he ran into the wall. His poor nose is so swollen! I thought at one point that he may have broken it. There's no hope for him being coordinated and playing any type of sport at this point. We'll have to focus on academics instead if there is any hope for a scholarship in his future :)

I snapped these pics while Matt was reading to Henry at bedtime tonight. I thought they turned out pretty good. (click on the pics to see them big on my photo blog).

Today is Zoe's birthday. She was born via c-section at 11:20 one year ago today. She has brought such joy and comfort to my life. Zoe is a beautiful baby and everyone feels the need to tell me so everywhere we go (I don't mind:))

Zoe loves to cuddle and give kisses and I can tell already that she has a great sense of humor. Zoe's favorite person is Henry and she adores our dogs, especially Abner.

She is sensitive and gets her feelings hurt easily so we have to be careful. I look forward, this year, in seeing what kind of toddler she will be, she was such a different baby than Henry so I can only assume that she will be a very different toddler as well.
