Oh Sarah those facebook groups are nothing but controversy! I have the same leanings and beliefs as you, but the Sarah Palin thing tickled me for some reason. I hope you aren't offended by *that*! Just like "I bet this goat can get more fans than Barack Obama". They're outlandish statements. I'm sure there is malice behind all of it, but I've decided to pretend that it's all in the name of humor and nothing else. It helps me cope better! (And by the way...you are not alone! But it does feel that way sometimes!)

Politics stink and its sad it has turned out that way from it's conception of the free world and having the opportunity to vote for something good, for something right... However God is good! There is only one way to heaven and THAT IS Jesus! People just don't pull for him anymore... but I know this political world is only temporary while someone who cares more for you than any politician ever will, will take care of you and your every need! My political view is the one who puts God and Jesus first in all things, and unfortunately sometimes that view is hard to find... I live and breathe believing and knowing there is something more, and sometimes I stand alone, but at least I'm standing... why I'd rather believe and it not be true than to not believe and lose out on something so beautiful, so pure, so fulfilling, so complete! Don't worry about pleasing others, only worry about pleasing one. If the truth be told, we will never know these people, George Bush or Sarah Palin or Obama... we aren't friends or family and therefore will never truly know what kinds of people they are so when we vote we never really know what we are going to get, just what they WANT us to know, whether it be true or false... but again, there is only one truth that can't be denied of one man that we know everything about, if we do our part and continue to talk with Him and build the relationship He wants with each of us then in the end, we will get not only what we need, but everything we want plus more than we ever thought imaginable!... We will be rescued, every empty part of our beings will be fulfilled, will be whole, we will no longer have to search for answers within ourselves or by reaching out to others, to politicians, but we will know it all... I want to have hope, hope in this country, hope in our leaders, but most of all I want to trust in an eternal Hope that outlasts this world, because I know, deep down and on the surface, there is more... Don't feel pressured to go with a majority, for the road is narrow and if nothing else now you know at least 2 people travel it.

Jennie, I think I'm just in one of "those" moods today! LOL. I usually try to find the humor in things. For some reason it just got under my skin tonight! I think I have felt this way for a long time. After 8 years of George Bush being bashed for every little thing and me keeping my mouth shut, don't want to ruffle any feathers, and he still gets bashed even though he hasn't been president for over a year, it was kind of the last straw. I must be hormonal....and I know there are some people out there who hate Sarah Palin so much that they wouldn't bat an eyelash if that was the plan they came up with.

When I read that I didn't realize they meant to use her to plug up the spill - I thought it meant like joining forces with her! Lol! I agree though....I don't understand why so many jumped on the hate wagon when it comes to her. I think it's because most people know she's right - she's a strong, powerful woman and that intimidates people, especially other women. I tend to be the more conservative one of most of my friends....I grew up that way and I guess I'm used to it!

i consider myself a liberal but i believe that you should be proud of your own beliefs and viewpoints as long as you don't force them on others or believe everyone has to live by your morality. i'm actually libertarian so democrats think i'm too conservative and republicans think i'm too liberal. :P it's true that most of the people i know who actually use their brains are liberals, but i know some very smart and open minded conservatives as well.
